In tax matters, his preferred activities are advising commercial companies and their directors, fiscal planning (operational and inheritance planning), and assisting taxpayers with the administrative or judicial litigation procedures they may encounter.
In business law, he guides his clients in the drafting and negotiation of their commercial contracts, and advises them both in terms of company law and company reorganisation (split, merger, judicial reorganisation). His practice also extends to questions relating to African business law (OHADA).
François-Xavier Eeckhout holds a degree in law from the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL) and a special Master’s degree in Fiscal Management (Solvay Business School).
He has lectured on international fiscal planning at a third-level school in Brussels. He contributes to many conferences and seminars.
After two years spent in the practice of business law at a specialised firm, he joined the association Litannie, Haulotte, Watelet & Associates in 2009.
He works in French and in English.
